December 15, 2020 - NMI, a leading payments enablement technology company, today announced the appointment of Jagdeep Sahota to the role of Vice President of Strategic Alliances. In his role, Sahota will be tasked with establishing new alliances and enhancing NMI’s relationships with existing ecosystem partners and commerce marketplaces to drive growth.
Sahota brings nearly two decades of payments and fintech experience to this position. Most recently, he served as Senior Director, Strategic Product Partnerships for Salesforce where he was responsible for building partnerships for Salesforce Industries’ financial services and health cloud to extend the reach of its product and build customer-centric applications. He has also served in leadership and partner-driven roles with JPMorgan Chase, Visa, and PayPal where he leveraged his core strengths around payments innovation, payment systems knowledge, and relationship development and management. Sahota also holds 23 global patents and application filings.
At NMI, Sahota will establish and nurture top-tier ecosystem partners, allowing the company to provide customers with exciting new capabilities and options in the global marketplace. With a deep understanding of the technical and business side of payments, and a customer-centric approach to problems, Sahota will guide NMI into new markets and geographies through strategic alliances. Finally, Sahota will leverage his 18 years of experience to forge and strengthen relationships with payment networks, processors, add-on vendors and tech companies entering payments.
Over the past 20 years, NMI has established itself as a payments innovator with a best-in-class technology platform for global ISO, software developer, and enterprise customers in the omnichannel, unattended, and payment facilitation segments. This move will help the company and its customers to identify and capitalize on new market opportunities.
“Jagdeep’s appointment is an investment in NMI’s dedication to growth and commitment to enabling success for ISOs and software developers,” said Vijay Sondhi, CEO of NMI. “His experience and proven track record of building mutually beneficial alliances are key ingredients to NMI’s planned success in 2021.”
“I am excited and honored to join NMI’s exceptional team and look forward to contributing to the short- and long-term success of the company,” said Sahota. “Combining NMI’s best-in-industry technology and skilled team members with fruitful new alliances and reinforced existing partnerships is a recipe for continued growth and prosperity for NMI and our customers.”
