Alright. Good afternoon. Thank you guys so much for joining. My name is Abraham Jimenez. I am your manager of your senior manager for partner enablement. My goal is to be able to help you grow and continue on from there with anything we can do at the NMI Gateway and NMI payments platform.
I'm gonna be able to walk you through a couple of things. If you have any questions, comments, concerns, use the q and a box or the chat box to be able to chat with me as we go through the process. Now today's call shouldn't actually take so long, simply because of the amount of information we're gonna be going through, and it's actually gonna be a little bit easier for you since we're gonna be walking through a couple of things, on the, NMI Gateway platform so you can see it, breathe it, and kind of learn a little bit more about what that means for you and how you can maximize your opportunities. So let's jump right into that platform now.
Alright. Let me go ahead and share my screen.
There we go. So you should be able to see my screen here. We're gonna log in to the partner payment portal first. And to log in, you simply go to the website.
Once you're inside, it'll pull up all of your data or information that you have on the back end for your particular account. Keep that in mind. Now couple cool things to note here as we kinda go through that process, make sure that you guys are a little bit more comfortable as well. And, again, make sure that if you have any questions, you put in the q and a box.
But as you can see on your screen here, for today's call, it'll probably take about twenty minutes or so. If you have any other questions, we're gonna go deep dive into. But we do try to keep it simple. We try to keep it easy.
So what you see on the screen today allows you to be able to add on or see additional accounts. Couple of things to consider, to consider and configure. On the left hand side, you've got all of my accounts, marketplace apps, reports, and even ordering devices. For any of you that wanna be able to sell in person equipment, you can simply click on order devices.
It'll take you directly to the items that you wanna be able to sell, and you can actually check out directly on the web page itself, bill yourself, bill to your merchant. However you wanna be able to build that or create that would be up to you. But it does make things a little bit easier as you go through that process just so that you don't have to worry about what that means for you as well. So keep that in mind.
Now couple of things to consider as we go through this process to be able to talk about adding an affiliate or adding additional multi bids. We'll start off by adding an affiliate. Now that also means that you have a new agent or you have an agent that you're subscribing to, that's gonna be selling on your behalf. So or on their own.
Right? But they're going through your platform to be able to do so. Now that being the case, a couple of things to consider as we open this up and kind of walk you through it. One, the affiliate name.
As you can see on your screen here, the affiliate name is going to be your agent name that you're actually going to be working with or, take out. So the affiliate name itself, I can go ahead and create someone. I can even put in here Jake from State Farm, so whoever it is that you wanna be using. By putting that information in there, you put in all of their information with anything that has a red asterisk.
This part's important. Anything with a red asterisk in terms of what you're doing or how it works, this part you wanna remember that on the red asterisk side, anything you put in here, will go through as long as you have the appropriate data. So anything with red asterisk needs to be filled out. If it's not filled out, unfortunately, it won't go through.
So keep that in mind. And, of course, when you try to push it through, it'll give you an error code saying, hey. There's a problem. This isn't working, whatever the case is.
So just keep that in mind as you go through that process as well. You have to have that completed, especially when you go into the system. Contact name is gonna be your agent name or the person that you're setting up, including email address, last name, first name, and phone number. If you wanna be able to make it simple, let's go ahead and create one together.
So first name, we're gonna go with Jake Farm, Jake from State Farm. And then I'm gonna put in my email address just to make life a little little easier, my phone number, and that's it. Something I really need in here. And I can put in again, even if it's an ISO.
Let's say I'm working with an agent that has their own ISO registered or they have their own, MSP service. And let's say it's Jake's card credit card services as an example.
We can put it through, and then we can even put any support contacts in the event that you're working with someone that's a little bit larger, including support name, email, phone, check support, accounting support, and risk management support as well. Commission payouts, you will put in an account for them in here. Any account that you put in here is going to be related to what you're gonna pay them out for anything above and beyond their buy rate, especially if they're billing it to the merchant. So keep that in mind. And then select the business type. What are they? We're gonna go with the corporation.
Tax ID or social, whatever this case is. It's a random number. Hopefully, that's not someone that, you know, we would know. And then in the username, you can put anything you want to be able to create their user account or username.
Jake cc is what I'm using here. I click continue, and then I get to choose what services am I adding on for Jake to be able to reset. Now here's where it gets a little complicated just to make sure that you understand how this works and the different items that we're walking through. On any NMI services available or anything that pops up from this perspective, we're essentially saying that you'll be able to resell all of these services.
Keep in mind that these services have buy rates. All of this has a cost associated.
That cost is gonna hit your parent account. So in order for you to avoid any costs or any anything that comes through, you wanna make sure that it makes sense. You wanna make sure you have the appropriate information. You wanna make sure that you have what's required as you go through that process.
That being the case on here, if I don't want Jake to be able to sell anything with electronic checks, I just hit that off. And then let's say I don't want Jake to sell anything with payer authentication or even Shopify because that is something we don't use, then you can, once again, just take it off. So we do keep it simple because you don't have to worry about what does that mean, where am I putting the information, how is this going to benefit me, anything that keeps it a little bit easier for you. That way you don't have to worry about it.
However, this is where we start talking about the other sections as well. In the other sections, what you see here is affiliate programs.
Now when you see the affiliate programs and the different items that you have laid out, these are going to be the costs or associated with what you're building out. Now this part's important to understand. Why? Because in this section here, what happens is we have a couple of other partners or processors that you're using. You can notice you got Chase, Alavon, First Data, Interlink, NUVAY, TSYS, etcetera. Here is where you can choose if you want this agent to be able to board on any of those platforms.
Let's say that you do and you're like, you know what? I want them to work. It doesn't matter. The most important part is that they resell my gateway, and that's all I care about.
Well, the good news is by doing that and by being able to simplify what that process looks like, we keep it a lot easier and a lot simpler by saying, great. We'll go ahead and connect all of these items in here. Once we ship this out or send this out to you, not only do we have it a little bit easier for you to be able to read and see it online, but you actually now have availability to, sell on any of these platforms. Let's say that all of a sudden, Ashley says, you know what?
I don't want them to be able to resell under anyone else except for us if they're gonna go with us, to be able to do our our process. Great. What does that mean? How does that work?
What does that look like? Well, that basically means that I don't want them selling on any other line besides, let's say, Elavon, and we only want them selling on not even First Data Omaha. We're gonna take all these off. We want them selling on Nuveil, and we want them selling on two cents because these are the only ones that we support.
Okay. You only have those options to be able to go through. Once I click continue, then only those three options are the ones you can work. Couple other things to consider, you can create schedules.
If you already have a default schedule you wanna work with that you've created before, then you just select the default that you have and you're good to go. But let's say you wanna include a custom made schedule, you'll notice that I put include a custom schedule here. I could change bulk pricing.
I can do individual pricing. In this case here, card process auto fee, I'm gonna say zero dollars for card process or seller fee. Card process or monthly fee, if your buy rate is five dollars, I'm gonna say that this person's buy rate is seven dollars. Card transaction fee, if your cost is five cents a transaction, I'm gonna say their cost is seven cents a transaction.
Same thing for checks. Anything that I wanna be able to do for checks, I just pass it through, whatever is easiest for you. So as you can see here, again, it's gotta be the appropriate numbers. Otherwise, it won't work out.
K?
And then all of the items in here get updated to the pricing costs that are coming through. As you can see here, whatever it is that I'm setting up, I click on continue, and we've already set up their costs. Now you have the choice to be able to set them up any way you want, meaning that you can charge them what you want, you can reduce the fees to what you want, you can add to what you want. It's completely up to you.
And that's one of the best parts. Because you're able to do any and all of that, you don't have to worry about anything else from that perspective. We do keep it simple, and we keep it easy enough for you to be able to choose and select what you wanna be able to write down. Once you're done there, you've got complete sub affiliation creation, meaning that you can go ahead and and turn it on.
You can create the sub affiliate. You represent it. You've already gone through authorization. You know what this means.
We have the agreement and then create sub affiliate. By clicking this button, all of a sudden, we activate Jake Farm or, you know, yeah, possess his name. And then once it get active, let me go ahead and show you, create some affiliate. I'm gonna get an email just so you're aware.
It's been activated. They're good to go. If I log in as Jake, I now look my page now looks just like my original page in here. Wherever I go to list of accounts one second.
It's like a bug in here. Once I go to list of accounts or I go to my adamay dot com, you'll see this page very identical to yours. So Jake Credit Card Services, test Abraham. So this is Jake Farm, Jake CC, or Jake's Credit Card Services ISO name.
So you'll notice we're able to pull it out. We have an account ID just for them. And then from here, we have settings, service pricing. They can see their cost schedule, what is their cost, and you'll notice in here depending on the items that they're selling or what they're gonna be able to pull out.
They have a particular cost as well, and it's the cost that you set for them. So keep that in mind. And in addition to that, fee schedule manager, they can create one for them as well if they have any other agents that are selling on behalf of them. Now when I go to add a merchant and I create a merchant for this account, if you go down to where it says banking information, contact info, again, just make sure that everything has the right asterisk, everything's filled out correctly.
Just putting in random numbers at this point. One second.
And once you go through this process Oh, what? No.
There we go. What? Oh, wait.
We click continue.
Zero seven one nine.
And then I'm gonna go ahead and do credit cards. When I configure the credit card section, I can only choose from the following link, Elavon, Interlink, or Teases, because these are the these are the ones that I left on, which are the only ones that I can use. I thought I clicked on Nuve, but I accidentally clicked on Interlink. But as you can see here, you don't have any other choice.
Once you go ahead and set it up, you can go ahead and begin setting up the merchant account as well. So keeps it simple. You've got a couple of items in here. You can see them in your list of accounts.
When you go to your main list of accounts, you go to some affiliate accounts, and you can see anything that comes new. In this case here, we activated Jake's credit card services. So I can come back in here. I have Jake's credit card services already turned on.
Active status, but let's go ahead and turn them off. We're gonna delete. You know, this allows me to even see what I'm doing here because give me one second. Restarting that.
Sorry about that, guys. Must be a weird glitch when that happens. So we just restart the home page.
K.
So going back into my account list of accounts, going back to Jake.
It's not fulfilled yet.
And then in here, I'm gonna go ahead and edit active status, and we're gonna put deleted. So we're closing them out. This is not in the login. It's submitted for our reports except for permissions.
Status only beside this, actually, no active or restricted merchants that we have in here as well. So we're gonna want to delete it. We don't we don't want this anymore. Boom.
It's been deleted. And now when you go to your sub affiliate accounts, you can see, oh, he's gone. Right? It's been deleted.
We don't have to worry about them anymore. So So a couple cool things to consider as you kinda go through that process, and you're creating additional accounts for sub agents. So keep that in mind.
Alright. So now that we've gone through and I showed you a little bit more on how to create a sub agent account, I'm gonna open it up, see if anyone has any questions, comments, concerns on what we just went through.
K. I don't see any questions coming in on the chat side, so I'm gonna go ahead and continue from this perspective on.
As you can see on the screen here, now that we've completed that, I'm gonna go back to list of accounts. Inside of list of accounts, before I jump in, the next step is our multi mid op, opportunities. So how do we add multi meds? What's a multi mid, and how does that work? In our industry, multi meds allow you to have a parent company.
With that parent company, underneath it, you can build additional meds. By building out additional meds, it actually allows you to roll up specific specific funds and give the parent company more accessibility. So in this case here, let's go ahead and say that we're gonna add a multi mid account. First things first, I go to my list of accounts because I already have one that's open, or I can just create a new account.
Not a problem. Now I'm gonna go with the barbershop because a barbershop will typically have more events than the average. Because if they might do by chair, and they might say, we have an account. You can process through, but you have to sign up to be able to accept cards.
Cool. Things go through. We don't have to worry about anything else. I already have everything labeled, so everything is ready to go.
As you can see on my screen here, couple of things to consider. Once I break out what this looks like and how it's able to break down, I'm gonna go ahead and once I open this up, I'm gonna scroll down towards this processing services. So you'll notice I've got all of these different people on here. But that means that depending on the environment of who I'm working with, what I'm doing, I'm actually able to see and break down each service or each account, by that particular information.
So what do I mean by that? I have a parent company. The parent company is Abraham j, Abe's Barbershop. So I am Abe's Barbershop.
Now in Abe's Barbershop, I have a new person that joins, and let's say that person is Luisa. So Luisa jumps in and says, hey. I'm gonna be a new barber for you. K.
Cool. Barber or hairstylist, whatever you wanna be. You joined the team. Congratulations.
Now I need to add you to the gateway for you to be able to take transactions. I explained to you. You can actually take credit card transactions for my service. The only thing is that you'd have to open up your own merchant account.
Let me go ahead and get, Luis, Ashley involved to be able to open your own account. Great. So what do we need to do? Once you go to this prospect there, all you have to do is you have to click on add.
Once you click on add, you click on add credit card.
Now once you go to add credit card, you select the processor that you're gonna be adding them on. In this case, let's say that Ashley says, I already set everyone up on TSYS. We're gonna keep TSYS. We don't need to do anything in addition to.
Okay? So put in the merchant number, put in the Enquire VIN, put in the store number, terminal ID number, merchant category code, location number. Obviously, you're collecting all this information from the Varshi. You've already completed.
Once you've completed that, you've, you're collecting it from the account that you signed them up. So in this case, Ashley signing up, Luisa. Luisa already signed the account, and it's going through TSYS, whether you're using Nave or anyone else, you're using the TSYS platform. Great.
That's on TSYS. We're collecting the bar sheet, agent name, and then chain ID. Everything's already inside. Great.
So I put all the information that I need. I scroll down. It's asking me for more information, and there's no red asterisk next to it, so I don't need anything here. Payment descriptor.
Now because it's gonna go through my myth, I'll I can say this is gonna be Abe's Barbershop.
Or because I want it to be it's you know, you got your haircut with Luisa. I want it to be Luisa hairstylist.
And you can have that as the actual credit card information when someone takes a payment. That's what they'll see on their bank. So keep that in mind. Once we put that through, we go down.
Again, additional information. This is gonna be retail. Scroll down. We don't need to worry about anything else.
And then is there anything else required for this particular transaction? We're gonna say no. We don't require anything else. We're gonna submit this.
Okay. Great. So we submitted it. We've created a brand new mid just for this account.
Keep in mind, you already have everything in here. So now when I scroll down, I look for TSYS right here. I'm gonna go and edit this one more time because they didn't change the name. So I'm gonna scroll down.
It says TSYS, but I'm gonna change the name to Luisa hairstylist.
Stylist.
I don't know how to spell stylist.
This is horrible.
Alright. So we'll say style list.
I'm using it with bar. Alright. Now once we do that, we're gonna submit this again. We just change the name just to keep it easy. And then from there, we're gonna scroll back up. We're gonna look for I'm gonna put this down.
Once we put this in here, it's gonna come back to I yeah. I did write it right. I don't wanna see any problems. We're gonna look for Louisa Louisa Hair Barber.
Okay. So now we have Louisa Hair Barber on TSYS EMV platform. So I can actually go in, and I'm a log in as the main account holder. By going into the main account holder, I can click on credit card sale.
And inside of credit card sale, I can put in whatever credit card I'm gonna take a payment for. And when I do that, one of the cool things to consider I'll put a hundred bucks in here. One of the cool things to consider is as I scroll down and it says processor, I can choose who this goes to. In this case, Luisa just received her first one hundred dollar or their first one hundred dollar sale.
Once it goes through, I click charge, and it's going to hit Luisa's actual account, and it's not going to hit anyone else's. I'm saying that this payment goes to Luisa, so keep that in mind. And that's what makes it even easier.
Alright. So I have a quick question that comes in. Ashley says, my understanding is that receipts reflect NMI and account DBA, but we often get requests for receipts to reflect individual processor names, not in bank line item, but on actual receipt. These are often environments where two different businesses share space terminals, but are different enough that they need to be able to, define on receipts, especially for health care.
Great question. Just so that you're aware, it's a little bit different when it comes to receipts and when it comes to bank line items. As you can see in here, when I went into the section to be able to edit for I'm gonna go back in to be able to edit for that particular name. On here, we're actually talking about when I scroll down give me one second.
Right over here.
In most cases, the bank configures the payment descriptor. If this is the case, the field will be ignored. However, the acquiring bank is not configured payment descriptor, you may enter it below. Leaving this field blank will cause a company name to be passed as the payment descriptor.
So the payment descriptor will pop up here. That's not on the physical receipt. That's gonna be on the actual bank that comes through. That's an important distinction to make, especially because of the environment that you're you're talking about.
No. Unfortunately, when it comes to payment description when you're using it here, this is not going to affect the actual receipt information. Now keep in mind that it works a little bit different because when we say receipts, we also means we also mean how are you making the payment or what's coming through on the actual information that's being presented. If you're using a gateway, you're typically using a virtual terminal to take that transaction, which means that the receipt can actually be printed off of a larger, larger receipt or something else that's that's gonna be on paper. But if it's through a credit card terminal receipt, then in that case there because that's what I'm saying. We have to request for receipts to reflect individual processor names.
If it's on the actual physical receipt, then you can you can change the footer or you can change the header and put in the individual processor. But that would be on a terminal, that would be on a terminal section. Keep in mind that when it comes to that environment, anything that's terminal based, you can always you can always change certain things.
However, because it's going through a multi mid account and it hits this particular option here, when you print out the receipt from anything that you're building out from this account, as long as you log in to that account that that's the DPA, then the receipt can be different. But if you don't log into it, it won't be. For example, this is gonna be Abe's Barbershop. Keep that in mind.
Right? So in here, when I go back to my list of accounts and I select Abe's Barbershop, I'm saying under Abe's Barbershop, we're gonna go ahead and and we're gonna go ahead and and, use it as a as the as the parent company. Right? Because that's that's who they are.
However, when you build out this account here, you also have multiple users that you can create or you can generate. In here, for example, I log in as Maria.
When I log in as Maria, it's still gonna show Abe's Barbershop.
So unless we can change the DBA for that particular item, unfortunately, it's it's gonna come back to the parent company. So keep in mind, that whatever you put in here, it's it's simply gonna reflect whatever that parent company is going to say. Hopefully, that makes sense if, if you can keep that one.
K?
Perfect. Alright. Once once you've got in there and you see that we created that environment in order for you to actually create their own login information, you would have to log in as Abe's Barbershop. Once you log in as the main account holder, I then continue to go down, go to options, go to settings.
Inside of settings, I'll go right into user accounts. Inside of user accounts, you'll notice I've got all of these different users, but I haven't created one for Luisa yet. So I'm a create a add a new user, and I'm gonna put Luisa's information. I don't know.
I'm gonna put something as simple as doing easy.
Owner, whatever you wanna call it. I'm gonna put my email just to move that easy.
And username could be lisa one two three.
Once you put this information in here, all you have to do is you have to scroll down to the processor side.
At the bottom, you've got the processors here where it says processors add on. You've got credit card, and then you've got cash. We notice that all of these are checked off. That means that you're able to process for all of these, but we don't wanna do that.
So we're gonna uncheck that, and we're just gonna click on Luisa, hair barber, and that's it. So if you can take cash, you turn it on. If you don't, you turn it off. We keep it simple.
If you wanna record that sale now that I have Lisa only, I come in here. I don't wanna have access to anything else. I'm gonna create user just to make life easier.
Oh, okay. One second. Lisa, one, two, three, four, five.
K. Create user.
Great. We've created the user. So now I can go home. I can actually log out of this. I'm gonna go ahead and just refresh the page, go back to Abe's Barbershop. And inside of Abe's Barbershop, once I go ahead and go to show all users, I now have Lisa one two three four five six. So Lisa can log in when she logs in.
Oh, it didn't select pick a payment in here for her. So you see it's not set up correctly. That being the case, I'm gonna go back into my account. When I go into the main account, I'm gonna go back to settings, back to user accounts.
I'm gonna go ahead and click on Luisa one more time to be able to add on to what she has. Virtual terminal access? Yes. We wanna give her access to or them to virtual terminal.
No checks. No cash. Just virtual terminal. We don't need API access or anything else. We're good to go.
So once I click this little button and I've added credit card only, I'm gonna go ahead and save once more, exit out of these again, go back, Go ahead and just refresh the page.
Show my actual users. Log in to Luisus, and now you see virtual terminal credit card sale. So when you hit on credit card sale, you can input the information that we just put in last time by putting this info in.
Full part so no.
The cool part is, once you scroll down, you'll notice that there is no actual button for me to choose a different processor. So I click on send receipt information, make sure there's an email in here once you put that in. And then you click charge, and it goes directly to Luis's account and no one else's because Luis is the one that logged in herself or themselves. So keep that in mind. Use it a little bit easier. That way you don't have to worry about doing anything different and generate an opportunity.
And that is how you're able to create additional accounts under a multimed setup under that parent company because Luisa was the one taking those transactions.
Alright. Do you guys have have any questions on anything that I just went through on adding multiple accounts, multiple users, any questions on a couple of other things you wanna break down? Keep in mind, any services that you have in here, unless it's activated for them to use, this applies to all of the accounts at the very top. So if it's active, it's gonna be active for everything under these these mids that we've created.
The main difference, though, is in the settings themselves or in the user settings, if you don't give them access to it, then they won't see it. So keep that in mind. But outside of that, everything's active. You can use it for them, and, you don't have to worry about anything else from that perspective.
So any questions, comments, concerns on anything that we just saw or kinda went through and broke down?
Alright. I don't see any questions coming in on my end.
So if there are no other questions, that is it for today's, training. Walking you guys through a couple of things. Thank you guys so much for joining. Hopefully, you enjoyed the training, kinda worked through a couple of things.
If you have any other questions, feel free to always send me an email, to give it something for you. I'm gonna give you guys back thirty minutes of your lives. And I'll get and, of course, like always, thank you for doing business with NMI. I will talk to you soon.
